Who we are

This website is operated by Elite Moves and Logistics Ltd. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

To contact us about your data, call 07438 862842.

What we collect

When you request a quotation we collect:

  • your name, email address and telephone number;
  • your collection and delivery postcodes and the type of property at each;
  • your preferred moving date and the service you need;
  • details about access, large items, packing and anything else you choose to tell us.

Please do not include sensitive information (for example about health) in the free-text boxes unless it is needed to plan your move safely.

To protect the form from abuse, we also create a one-way, anonymised code from your IP address. We cannot recover your IP address from this code, and it is deleted automatically after 24 hours.

How we use it and our lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation — because you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract.
  • To carry out your move if you book — to perform our contract with you.
  • To keep business records and protect the website from spam — our legitimate interests in running and securing our business.
  • To meet legal obligations, for example accounting and tax records.

We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell it.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run this website, who process data on our behalf:

  • Supabase — secure database hosting for enquiry records;
  • Resend — sending enquiry confirmation emails;
  • Vercel — hosting the website.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. If you book a move, we keep records for as long as needed for the job and to meet legal and accounting requirements.

Cookies

The public website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our administrators' dashboard uses strictly necessary cookies to keep staff signed in securely. Because these are strictly necessary, no cookie consent banner is required. If we add analytics in future we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or object to our use of it. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details above.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns first.

Security

Enquiry data is stored in a database that only authorised staff can access after signing in, and is transmitted over encrypted connections.
